M Cross Antiques has dated this Georgian Walnut Kneehole Desk to the Georgian era.
It features a quarter-veneer top with a moulded edge below which is a brushing slide with lopers, one long frieze drawer and two banks of three graduated drawers either side of a central cupboard with a gothic arch moulded panel. The central section has a rare additional feature which allows the cupboard to be pulled forward to turn the desk into a small sideboard, making this a more versatile piece of furniture suitable for use in many different rooms (see images for details).

The overall condition is very good with age-related wear and tear and a lovely deep, rich patina.
A wonderful example of Georgian cabinetry made using premium quality materials by highly skilled craftsmen.
