Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

This Regency Grainger Lee & Co Worcester porcelain dessert service comprises six dessert plates, one shell-shaped serving dish, and one lozenge-shaped serving dish. The pieces are finished with a glossy white glaze and extensive gold leaf borders, featuring white and gold scrolling rims alongside moulded acanthus handles with gilded accents. Each item displays a central hand-painted roundel of summer flowers containing pink, blue, and red blooms, set within a radial gilt motif edged with tiny raised white dots. Crazing is present across the glazed surfaces, accompanied by minor signs of wear to the gilding and pattern, though the porcelain remains free of chips or cracks. This collection measures 25 cm across the plates, offering a versatile arrangement for display on a sideboard top or for use in a dining room during formal family meals and celebratory dinner parties. The set brings historic British craftsmanship directly to a home dining table, providing an elegant setting for serving desserts, pastries, or seasonal fruit at the conclusion of a meal.

Grainger, Lee & Co produced high-quality bone china and soft-paste porcelain in Worcester during the Regency era, recognised for heavy gilding, elaborate moulded rims, and detailed hand-painted floral or botanical scenes.

Dessert services from this era were typically made from fine bone china or soft-paste porcelain, decorated with overglaze enamel paints and burnished gold leaf gilding.

Authentic pieces often feature red, brown, or printed factory marks on the underside reading Grainger Lee & Co Worcester, paired with period-accurate mercury gilding and hand-brushed botanical motifs.

An antique dessert service can be styled by displaying the serving platters symmetrically on a sideboard top, placing plates in a glazed cabinet, or mounting individual pieces on a feature wall using plate hangers.

Gilded antique porcelain should be gently washed by hand using warm water and a mild detergent, avoiding dishwashers, abrasive pads, or harsh chemical cleaners that strip gold leaf and enamel.
