Antique 20th century open bookcase in mahogany, a light and elegant piece that offers practical display space without feeling heavy in a room.

Well made and of good quality, its open design and slender proportions give it a particularly appealing appearance. The bookcase stands on turned legs with castors, allowing it to be moved easily when required.

Two shelves provide space for books, ornaments or photographs, while a useful drawer to the lower section offers concealed storage for smaller items and is fitted with a decorative brass handle. Slender pillars surround the shelves, creating a wonderfully open display and allowing the contents to be seen from different angles.

The mahogany has a rich, warm colour with gorgeous natural grain throughout, adding depth and character to its refined design. Presented in good condition, this highly desirable bookcase would make a lovely addition to a study, bedroom, hallway or reception room.
