Good Size 178g 833 Solid Silver Cockerel Chicken Bird C1960 Animal

Description

A good sized solid silver desk or table bird figure. It is hallmarked with the Portuguese mark PRATA for silver along with the standard mark 833. I would date it to c1950-1970. It has been beautifully modelled in the form of a rooster. It is in super condition being free from dings splits and repairs. It measures approx. 6 inches (15cm) long beak to tail by 4.25 inches tall and weighs 178 grams (all silver not filled or weighted). A very well designed high quality example.
