Salisbury Antiques Centre has dated this Edwardian Walnut Pedestal Desk to the 1900s.
Below are nine drawers arranged in the traditional pedestal form, with a long central drawer flanked by two smaller drawers above three graduated drawers to each pedestal.

The drawers retain attractive brass drop handles and keyhole escutcheons, with reeded detail to the uprights adding a restrained decorative finish. The desk is raised on small castors and separates into three sections for ease of movement and transport.

Of particular appeal are its small dimensions. At just 106 cm wide and 60 cm deep, it offers all the practicality and appearance of a traditional pedestal desk without the considerable space normally required, making it ideal for a smaller study, bedroom or home office.
A handsome and very practical Edwardian desk with a warm walnut colour and pleasing period character.
