Description

A handsome antique Victorian Arts and Crafts two-drawer oak desk dating from circa 1890 By Marsh Jones and Cribb of Leeds. A good quality piece in beautifully figured solid oak, with slight over-sailing top, original brass swan neck drop handles and standing on square tapered legs with shaped feet joined by a cross stretcher. It features an unusual lift-up section to one side for instant access to the drawer contents.

Solid and sturdy. General wear and marks commensurate with age. Some scuffs and wear to the top. Working lock and key. Has some small filled-in holes to both legs on one side of the desk.
