Antique Burr Walnut Leather Top Partners Desk by Maple and Co

Description

A magnificent and large antique burr walnut leather top partners desk by Maple and Co. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1890-1910 period.

It is of superb quality with a gorgeous design, in the William and Mary style. It is a very impressive size, with a beautiful inset tooled leather top. There are high quality brass handles, the slightly concave drawers have fine, hand cut dovetailed joints and chamfered edges. The back is beautifully finished and has two locking doors with additional storage space. This sits on stretchered legs with scrolled carving, the top also has beautiful and crisp carving on the edges.

We have had this recently re-polished, the condition is excellent for its age.

Height – 31 inches , 78 cm

Knee height – 23 inches , 58 cm

Knee width – 25.5 inches , 65 cm
