Antique Burr Walnut Leather Top Pedestal Desk

1900 - 1920
Description

An exceptional antique burr walnut leather top pedestal desk. This is in the Queen Anne style, it dates from around the 1900-1920 period.

The quality is outstanding, this has a beautiful inset three section leather writing surface with tooled edges. This has an inverted breakfront design, and a gorgeous overall look.

There are incredibly beautiful burr walnut grain patterns throughout including on the back, which is nicely finished so this can be used as a free standing item. This stands on short cabriole legs with acanthus leaf carving, and contains lots of storage space inside the generous drawers. There is plenty or intricate carving around the entire top and lower edges.

We have had this recently re-polished, the condition is excellent for its age.
