Antique 9ct Rose Gold Turquoise and Seed Pearl Suffragette Chain Brooch

Description

A fabulous antique 9ct rose gold chain brooch, beautifully set with vibrant turquoise and delicate seed pearls.

The brooch features a striking series of interlocking oval links, alternating between turquoise cabochons and seed pearls in diamond-shaped settings. Crafted in warm rose gold, the bold chain design gives the piece a distinctive appearance while retaining the elegance associated with late Victorian and Edwardian jewellery.

Chain motifs are often associated with Suffragette jewellery, where they have been interpreted as representing the oppression and restrictions experienced by women and the struggle to break free from those constraints. The turquoise and pearl combination also gives this brooch the highly collectible look associated with jewellery from the Suffragette era.

The reverse retains its original pin fitting and is stamped 9CT, together with the maker's mark RHJ&Co.

This beautiful antique brooch is in excellent original condition. We have carefully cleaned and polished it, while taking care to preserve its antique character.
