Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

The Millefleurs or Thousand Flowers pattern originated during the Qing Dynasty, specifically developing during the Qianlong period (17351796). It features a dense composition of varied botanical motifs where the background white porcelain is entirely obscured by enamels.

These pieces were crafted from fine kaolin clay and high-fired to create a porcelain body. The intricate floral design was subsequently painted by hand using polychrome overglaze enamels, dominated by pink rose palette tones derived from colloidal gold.

Authentic examples demonstrate hand-applied overglaze enamelling with subtle surface texture, soft foot rim wear, and characteristic iron spots or pinholes from historical kiln firing techniques. Reign marks or apocryphal seals on the base also offer clues to the production era.

These decorative plates can be displayed on plate stands atop a console table, integrated into a gallery wall arrangement, or showcased inside a glass cabinet to add colour and historical pattern to a room.

Dust gently with a soft microfibre cloth or horsehair brush. If washing is necessary, use lukewarm water with mild soap, avoiding abrasive cleaners, chemical solvents, or immersion, which could damage overglaze enamels or gilt rims.
