An exceptionally rare Dunhill Tallboy petrol lighter manufactured in England under Cartier licence and dating to approximately 1933–1935.This early Art Deco model belongs to the first generation of Dunhill Tallboy lighters produced under the famous Cartier patent. Lighters carrying the ''Cartier Licence'' marking are encountered far less frequently than later standard Dunhill production and are highly sought after by collectors.Particularly interesting is this uncommon black lacquered version. Most surviving examples are silver plated with engine-turned decoration, whereas lacquered examples appear very rarely on the market.
