Produced by the Royal Worcester Porcelain Company during the 1970s, this fine cabinet plate is an excellent example of the manufactory''s celebrated Painted Fruit decoration. The underside retains the original Bonhams auction labels, providing documented auction provenance.The centre is finely hand-painted and signed by Royal Worcester artist Brian Leaman, depicting two peaches and clusters of blackberries resting on blackberry leaves against the characteristic mossy ground. The broad border is finished in deep underglaze cobalt blue and richly embellished with elaborate hand-applied 24-carat gold ornament.Brian Leaman joined Royal Worcester in 1969 and specialised in the factory''s traditional Painted Fruit style.
