A very interesting sterling silver and cut glass Georgian travelling inkwell. It is hallmarked for London 1819 with no makers marks (it hay be under the lid seal). It has a screw down lid which works perfectly allowing it to be sealed whist travelling on carriages. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits chips cracks and repairs. It measures approx. 1.75 inches (4.2cms) across by the same tall and weighs 89 grams. A super quality early piece.
