Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Ersari Beshir saddle covers are traditional hand-woven wool textiles created by the Ersari tribe along the Amu Darya river valley in Central Asia during the nineteenth century. They were designed specifically to fit over horse saddles, featuring a cutout notch for the pommel.

These items were hand-knotted using hand-spun sheep wool on a wool foundation. The rich red, navy blue, and cream shades were achieved using natural vegetable and mineral dyes, such as madder root and indigo.

Authentic pieces exhibit hand-knotted asymmetric wool construction, natural dye variations known as abrash, and a specific notched shape contoured for saddles. Wear consistent with age and traditional geometric or floral-influenced gul motifs also indicate authenticity.

Tribal saddle rugs are frequently mounted and displayed on walls as graphic textile art or draped over sideboards, benches, and table surfaces to add depth and historical texture to a room scheme.

Vacuum gently using a suction-only attachment without a rotary brush, keep the item out of direct sunlight to prevent natural dye fading, and consult a specialist antique rug restorer for professional cleaning.
