Billy Hunt & Co. has dated this piece to the 1920s.
A handsome, high quality, large English half glazed 6 door school cabinet in a rather lovely condition C1920 in the more desirable golden oak - a recent Cheshire find and one of the best we have found in a while. The perfect centre piece in a kitchen, hallway or living space.

This one possesses some pleasing details - a proper deep bottom plinth, oak framed glazed top doors, a super choice of timber with some lovely running grains and tones, decorative top plinth, panelled lower doors and overall a fine looking piece rarely available in this scale these days…
Condition is good; we have no twists or splits to the solid oak, sensible genuine day to day wear, original adjustable oak faced shelves to the top sections and fixed shelving to the lower section - expect a historic cabinet in good order with no nasty surprises which is reassuringly heavy.
The cabinet splits into two for easier delivery and placing.

A good piece of English oak C1920.
