It features a tall moulded cornice above three glazed doors trimmed in ebonised wood, which enclose five solid adjustable shelves with black-trimmed edges, divided by elegant ebonised curved mouldings. The base of the bookcase includes three additional glazed doors with ebonised trim and adjustable solid shelves, all resting on a moulded plinth base with ebonised feet. The sides of the bookcase are accented with curved ebonised mouldings, enhancing its overall design. With great colour and patina, France, circa 1860. The locks are in working order and come with original keys.
