FAQs

Baluchi prayer rugs were hand-woven by nomadic tribes across eastern Persia and Afghanistan, defined by architectural mihrab designs and geometric motifs.

They are hand-knotted using hand-spun wool pile on a wool or cotton foundation, coloured with natural plant and mineral dyes.

Authentic pieces feature dark colour palettes, hand-wrapped selvedges, slight asymmetrical variations, and stylized tree or niche motifs.

Small tribal rugs function well placed on wood floors, layered over neutral carpeting, or displayed as decorative wall textiles.

Vacuum gently using suction only without a rotating brush bar, rotate regularly to ensure even wear, and arrange specialist washing for deep cleaning.
