Another rare and collectable Silver Gilt NOVELTY TRICK VESTA CASE hallmarked for LONDON 1873 by renowned maker JANE BROWNETT.
 
Stamped inside the lid with the retailers LEWIS (Robert) 20 St James Street London.
 
Robert Lewis was established in 1787 and was a Cigar importer and cigarette maker.
 
Measuring 6 cm x 3.5 cm x 1 cm and weighs 42.3 grams.
 
Condition is very good, it opens and shuts well (once you’ve figured the Trick opening) , the hallmarks are good, light surface wear externally , gilding still bright. Initials to the lid, small ding to the edge of the lid and base.
