Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Novelty bookmarks crafted from solid silver gained significant popularity during the late Victorian and Edwardian periods, often featuring figural motifs like animals or crests as functional items for avid readers.

Authentic British pieces from the 1920s are constructed from solid sterling silver and bear standard assay office hallmarks indicating the metal purity, date letter, and makers mark.

Authenticity is verified through clear stamped hallmarks, consistent patination, and the solid weight and cast detailing characteristic of early 20th-century metalwork rather than modern plating.

This piece integrates seamlessly into a study or library setting, displayed neatly inside an open leather-bound book or showcased upon a desk tidy.

Preservation requires storing the silver in a dry environment and using a specialized microfibre cloth to gently remove tarnish without abrading the fine surface details or hallmarks.
