Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.

Mid-century British silver design often features clean lines, geometric or natural lobed forms, and reduced surface ornamentation compared to earlier Victorian or Edwardian eras. Silversmiths during the post-war period balanced traditional craftsmanship with modern, functional aesthetics.

Sterling silver tableware is constructed from an alloy containing 92.5 percent pure silver and 7.5 percent copper to add strength. The metal is shaped through spinning, hammering, or pressing, and finished with polished surfaces and official assay hallmarks.

Authentic British sterling silver displays a complete set of hallmarks, including the lion passant mark for silver purity, a town mark representing the assay office, a specific date letter, and a makers mark.

A small silver dish can be styled on a sideboard top, bedside table, or entryway console to collect jewellery, keys, or small items. It adds a metallic texture and reflective element when paired with wood or stone surfaces.

Sterling silver should be cleaned gently using a soft cotton cloth and specialized silver polish to remove oxidisation. Store silver items in anti-tarnish cloths or dry, low-humidity spaces to prevent rapid tarnishing.
