A super-fine Dorush rug from the Khorasan area in North East Persia. Classic, all over botehs on ivory ground flanked by delicate madder borders.
 
like most Dorush rugs of this age, slightly faded on the front giving this beautiful rug a mellow, muted look. Very finely knotted with great wool, a rug of rare quality. Full pile all over, slight traces of use, clean, with all ends and sides newly secured. A very useful size. Circa 1880
