Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Norwegian Art Deco silver and enamel tableware from the 1930s is characterized by clean geometric forms, vibrant guilloche enamelling over engine-turned metal, and high-purity silver mountings, often produced by prominent Scandinavian silversmiths.

These items were crafted by engraving a precise geometric pattern into the silver surface using a rose engine lathe, after which coats of translucent vitreous enamel were applied and fired in a kiln to achieve a brilliant lustre.

Authentic pieces generally bear Norwegian purity hallmarks, such as 925S or 830S, alongside makers marks, uniform engine-turned patterns beneath undamaged translucent enamel, and period-appropriate glass cutting.

They can be displayed on a dining table or sideboard tray, placed alongside modern glassware to contrast textures, or showcased within a glass curio cabinet as decorative accent pieces.

Clean gently using a soft, lint-free cloth dampened with mild soapy water, avoiding harsh silver polishes or submersion, as chemicals and extreme moisture can damage or detach vitreous enamel overlays.
