Antique Victorian Mahogany Leather Top Writing Table / Desk

Description

An excellent original antique Victorian mahogany leather top writing table / desk. This was made in England, it dates from around 1840-1860.

It is of great quality and is a lovely size. The inset green leather top is beautifully hand coloured and gold tooled. This has turned mahogany handles, and has a polished back, so can be used as a free standing item. It stands on beautifully turned and fluted baluster legs terminating in porcelain casters.

We have had this recently re-polished, the condition is fantastic for its age. There is just some minor wear beneath the polish here and there. This has a gorgeous overall patina and colour tone.

Height – 30 inches , 76 cm

Knee height – 23 inches , 58 cm
