Rare Sampson Mordan Sterling Silver Horse Shoe Scent 1887 Antique

Description

A rare English Victorian antique solid sterling silver scent bottle. It is hallmarked for London with the maker being Sampson Mordan & Co, the date mark is difficult to read but the Rd Number dates to 1887. It has been superbly made being in the form of a horse shoe. It is in good condition being free from dings splits distortions and repairs - note there is a tiny pin hole see final photo. It measures 2.25 inches (5.8cm) by 1.75 inches and weighs 22 grams. A rare example.
