This Edwardian circular wreath brooch displays a delicate combination of 18ct yellow gold and silver settings. The piece features six vibrant blue cabochon turquoise gemstones, each held securely by an eight-prong yellow gold setting, interspaced between diamond-set silver openwork links containing rose cut diamond chips. The reverse reveals a good functioning gold pin and clasp hardware system. The brooch measures 2.4 cm in width and has a total weight of 3.7 g. \n\nSuitable for daily wear as a subtle decorative accessory, this circular jewel fastens easily onto lapels, scarves, or collars of garments. The classic wreath motif and timeless material combination make it a versatile addition to an antique jewellery collection, functioning as a wearable piece of history. The item exhibits minimal signs of age and maintains its original structural integrity throughout the setting.

Edwardian circle brooches, popular between 1901 and 1910, frequently featured delicate geometric or floral wreath designs incorporating silver-topped gold to highlight diamonds and coloured gemstones.

Jewellers during the Edwardian period commonly combined 18ct gold and silver settings with cabochon turquoise and rose-cut or mine-cut diamonds, employing silver-on-gold techniques.

Authentic Edwardian pieces often display a layered metal construction of silver mounted over gold, fitted with long pin stems, simple C-clasps, and fine openwork detailing.

An antique circular brooch can be pinned to a tailored blazer lapel, fastened onto a silk scarf, or placed at the collar of a button-down shirt for a refined detail.

Turquoise is a porous gemstone that must be kept away from water, perfumes, and chemical cleaners, requiring gentle wipe-downs with a dry, soft cloth to prevent discolouration.
