A magnificent antique mahogany Chippendale revival desk by Gillows. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1890-1900 period.The quality is outstanding, the Gillows makers stamp is seen in the top right drawer. This has a beautiful design, it sits on cabriole legs with acanthus leaf carving at the knees, terminating in claw and ball feet with brass casters. This has a polished back with two dummy drawers, so can be used as a free standing item.
