This charming Georgian satinwood glazed secretaire bookcase is constructed from beautifully figured satinwood, this piece exudes a warm, golden hue with a rich patina that has gracefully aged over time.

The upper section features a striking glazed cabinet with two tall doors, each adorned with refined geometric astragal glazing, allowing a glimpse of the interior shelving.

Beneath the bookcase, the lower section boasts a beautifully designed secretaire drawer, which, when opened, reveals a fitted writing desk with a green baize writing surface. The interior is thoughtfully arranged with small drawers, pigeonholes, and a central compartment, providing convenient storage for writing materials and personal documents. The drawer features finely cast brass ring handles with decorative lion’s head backplates.
