A Stunning quality Victorian Sterling Repousse Silver & Gilt Cigarette/ Cheroot Case, with scroll and flower design all over. Hallmarked for Birmingham 1898 by great maker HENRY MATTHEWS.
 
Cartouche on both sides, one blank, one with initials.
 
Measuring 9 cm x 6 cm and with a good weight of 75.2 grams.
 
Condition is excellent for its age, it looks hardly used, snaps shut well, hallmarks very good, gilding bright.
