The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this 1940s Gold Pocket Watch to the 1940s.
The watch has a good quality stem-winding movement which is working nicely.
This movement is often seen in Helvetia military pocket watches.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gold plated and it is in good condition, as is the glass lens which just has a 2mm mark towards the centre.
The dial is signed Fortex, a private brand name used for imported watches. The dial is in lovely condition with blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.

The watch comes with a silver gilt chain, 26cm long including the T-bar and the clasp. The chain is stamped ‘Sterling’ inside the clasp, and has sealed links so is original to the rest of the chain. The T-bar is a non-silver gilt replacement. The chain is a lighter gold finish than the watch, this is how they came to us so we have kept them together.
The watch and chain come in a new presentation box.
