Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Art Deco jewellery from the 1920s and 1930s is defined by geometric shapes, clean lines, and symmetrical repeating patterns. Silver pieces from this era in Central Europe frequently emphasised structural form and polished metal surfaces rather than heavy gemstone embellishments.

European Art Deco bracelets were typically constructed from sterling or continental silver, platinum, and occasionally chrome-plated base metals. Craftsmen used techniques such as hand-stamping, wire-forming, and soldering to create flexible, repeating panel structures.

Authentic period pieces often feature official silver purity hallmarks, such as numerical purity marks or national control stamps applied during manufacturing. Construction details like hand-assembled links and period-appropriate spring ring or tongue clasps also indicate authenticity.

The geometric structure and monochromatic palette of Art Deco silver allow it to complement both modern minimalist tailoring and casual attire. It serves as a subtle focal point when worn alone or layered alongside contemporary silver wristwear.

Silver jewellery should be polished gently with a dry microfibre silver cloth to remove surface tarnish without abrading the metal. Avoid immersion in harsh chemical dips, which can strip intentional patination, and store the piece in a dry, airtight pouch.
