Pretty Victorian amethyst earrings with gold cannetille decoration, in typically ornate Etruscan Revival style. The amethysts are a deep purple which contrasts beautifully with the rich high-carat gold settings.

• Fixing: Ear wires, supplied with tiny silicone ''keepers'' which fix on the ends for extra security.
• Hallmarks/stamps: None found. The earrings test as 15-carat gold.
• Era: Victorian (c.1837-1901).
