Description

This is a superb antique late Victorian sterling silver card case/aide memoir measuring 4" (10 cms) x 3" (7.5 cms) and hallmarked for Birmingham 1900 with the silversmiths mark for Henry Matthews

The front of the case is embossed with a depiction of ‘The Music Lesson’ by Nicolas Lancret depicting a gentleman playing a lute to two ladies in a formal garden scene and the back shows a lovely garden scene with a peacock.

It's in super condition with no damage (any marks you can see are just reflections) and inside has two pockets, a centre page and a pencil.

This lovely card case will come in a gift box with a certificate of authenticity.
