Bushells Antiques has dated this Victorian Garnet Diamond Brooch to the 19th Century.
The brooch is centred with a bright old-cut diamond of approximately 0.35 carats, set within a raised star-shaped mount.
Their domed, sculptural form gives the brooch remarkable presence and dimension.

Encircling the garnets is an ornate twisted rope-work gold border, adding texture and refinement, and demonstrating the high level of craftsmanship associated with the finest Victorian jewellery.
The reverse retains its original pin and safety catch fitting. The brooch remains in excellent antique condition and is ready to wear or add to a fine collection.

Carbuncle garnet brooches of this scale and quality are increasingly sought after and were among the most luxurious jewels of the Victorian period.
