We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.

The Arts and Crafts movement emphasised handcraftsmanship, traditional techniques, and simple forms inspired by medieval and folk styles, reacting against industrial mass production.

Authentic pieces from this period are typically crafted from solid sterling silver, often featuring hand-hammered surfaces and bespoke maker marks.

Authenticity is verified through clear hallmarks indicating the metal purity, makers mark, assay office, and year of production, alongside characteristic hand-wrought texturing.

These small items can be showcased in glass-fronted cabinets, framed as wall art, or integrated into table settings to add historical texture to contemporary spaces.

Antique silver should be gently cleaned using a specialist microfibre cloth and mild silver polish only when necessary, avoiding abrasive dips that can damage patination.
