Description

A pretty little antique gold brooch in a desirable winged heart design, set with bright turquoise cabochons and tiny gleaming seed pearls.

SIZE: 4 x 2.5cm, not including the chain.

WEIGHT: 2.7g.

MATERIALS: 15-carat gold, turquoise, pearl. Fifteen-carat gold pieces are not overly common (in the UK only really used between 1854 and 1932) and this fineness was generally used in high quality pieces.

HALLMARKS/STAMPS: None (the metal tests as 15 carat gold).

CONDITION: Excellent antique condition.

ERA: Estimated late Victorian/Edwardian (c.late 1800s-1914).
