Antique George III Silver Sauce Boat London 1780 William Skeen

Description

A lovely George III Silver Helmet shaped Sauce Boat hallmarked for London 1780 by maker William Skeen.

Of helmet form with a beaded rim, raised on three shell-capped hoof feet, fitted with a scroll handle and a shaped pouring lip. Initials engraved near handle.

Measuring 14cm long, 133.7 grams.

In very good condition, hallmarks are good, it sits well, some slight surface wear commensurate of age and use.

A superb piece of Georgian antique silver.
