An early Victorian Sterling Silver Snuff box by Francis Clark, Birmingham 1841.
 
Beautifully engine turned on both sides, the hinged cover opens to reveal a gilt interior. The shield shaped central cartouche has a dedication engraved dated 1844.
 
Measuring 7 cm x 4 cm and weighs 45.5 grams.
 
In very good antique condition overall, the hallmarks are good, there are a few dings/dents and surface scratches, gilding faded, usual signs of wear all commensurate of age and use.
