This Victorian Minton Newcastle shape porcelain plate measures 2 cm high, 23 cm wide, and 23 cm deep. The circular piece uses white and gold porcelain with a glossy glaze and polychrome enamel decoration. A hand-painted central floral bouquet of pink, yellow, and blue flowers sits on the white background, surrounded by a moulded basketweave border with gold lines. Three rococo scroll cartouches containing painted floral posies interrupt the border, and the scalloped rim has gilt enrichment.
