Antique Afghan prayer rug with a traditional design to the field.
 
Circa 1920.
 
A charming small village prayer rug was woven in north west Afghanistan but Pashtun weavers, the rug has complete kilims at both ends which are decorated in bands of weft work.
 
The rug is in excellent condition with very slight wear and full pile of excellent soft wool.
 
The rug is suitable for normal domestic use.
