These elegant vintage earrings feature Italian micromosaics formed of tiny tessarae (glass tiles) in flower bouquet designs set into a black enamelled ground. The frames surrounding the mosaic plaques are gold-tone metal while the ear wires are solid nine-carat gold.
• Condition: Very good vintage/antique condition; there is a little wear to the enamel edges at the sides of the plaques and a little discolouration to the gold but neither is very noticeable to the naked eye.
• Fixing: Nine-carat gold lever-back ear wires.
• Hallmarks/Stamps: 9K on both wires.
• Era: Mid-20th century, possibly antique with later wires.
• Size: The plaques measure 2 x 2.2cm, 4cm total drop from the top of the ear wire.
• Weight: 9.1g.
