A superb set of two English antique cased solid sterling silver marmalade / jam spoons. They are hallmarked for Sheffield 1938 with the maker being Allens (A Laurence Allen). The retail case is that of JAs Ramsay of Dundee so most likely designed to be used for marmalade - Dundee being famous for it. They have been superbly made and are in superb condition being free from dings splits and repairs. The case is also superb. They measures 4.5 inches (11.5cm) long by over 1 inch (3cm) wide and have a combined weight of 26 grams excluding the case. Superb examples.
