A fine quality Victorian six slice sterling silver toast rack designed with the clear influence of Dr Christopher Dresser. Hallmarked for Sheffield 1884, maker John Edward Bingham, with further retail mark for Walker & Hall.
It measures 18cm (7 1/16'') long by 9.3cm (3 5/8'') wide and 17.5cm (6 7/8'') high. It weighs 390g / 12.5ozt.
In excellent condition with no damage or repairs and only minor handling wear. A superbly stylish piece to grace the breakfast table or to be used as a very smart letter rack or organiser for the desk.
