Catherines Antique Jewellery Box has dated this piece to the 1910s.
The pendant is large 4.5cm x 3.5cm with six peridots of 1mm x 1mm. There is a large central amethyst which is 7mm x 7mm. A wonderful example of a suffragette necklace with an antique 9ct gold rope twist chain with a barrel clasp stamped for 9ct. This is very beautiful wearable piece of Antique Jewellery of good weight and classically worn by the suffragettes in the UK. Works both as a pendant but could also be worn as a brooch. The chain is hallmarked for 9ct gold and is 49cm in length and has a slight kink in it in one area. The pendant is in superb condition with only minor wear in accordance with age. Total Weight 11.3g
