This large bronze Grand Tour Warwick vase dates from the nineteenth century and follows a Neoclassical style. Finished in a dark brown patina, the vessel takes a classic classical form with a rounded bowl resting upon a gadrooned pedestal foot and circular base. The upper rim displays a distinct egg-and-dart moulding above a frieze adorned with relief Bacchic masks interspersed with decorative motifs. Two heavy, intertwined twisted vine handles sweep upwards from the lower body to attach beneath the rim. The interior reveals a warm metallic tone, and the dark exterior exhibits subtle highlights along the raised sculptural elements. Measuring 24 cm high and 37 cm wide, the vessel occupies a substantial footprint suitable for display on a sideboard top.
