A handsome late 17th century William & Mary oak chest of drawers.
C.1690-1700.

Retaining the original engraved brass escutcheons, hand made iron locks, with replacement brass drop-handles, which are stylistically and age correct.
The oak has developed a rich warm colour and characterful patina over the many centuries.

Standing on bracket feet, replaced in the slightly later Georgian period.
In excellent antique condition. Very solid sturdy and strong, with each drawer being very solid and strong and opening smoothly and easily. Expected signs of age.
