A Pair of Silver and Enamel Asian Peacock Earrings

This superb pair of Asian clip on earrings are beautifully hand made in solid silver, gilt and enamel. They are fully articulated with hinged tail feathers and spring loaded clips, which work firmly with a crisp action.

The highly detailed peacocks are modelled in a standing position with delicate legs and feet. Their wings are wide spread with their tail feathers are in full display, and their heads are well defined.

The earrings are intricately enamelled in cream, blue and green. The enamelling is in perfect condition. The silver is finished with bright gilding, and they are fully marked on the reverse of each with the words sterling and made in Siam.

These intricate and decorative earrings are both collectable and very wearable. Circa 1930
