Description

Here’s a beautiful example of an antique pine secrétaire, also known as a bureau, dating from around the 1920s. It’s an elegant piece with vertical columns running down each side of the drawers, and the writing slope folds neatly into the front, giving it a tidy, classic appearance when closed.

Below the writing section are four main drawers, all running smoothly. Inside the bureau, you’ll find multiple smaller drawers, a cubby hole, and even several secret drawers cleverly hidden within the design. A couple of knobs on the inside drawers are currently missing but will be replaced.

The writing slope currently sits at a slight angle, which can easily be adjusted to make it level if preferred. Overall, this is a solid, well-crafted piece in very good condition for its age.

Available for £950 as it is, or £1,075 if you’d like it waxed.
