A Victorian Sterling Silver and gilt Vinaigrette by Alfred Taylor, Birmingham 1856
A Victorian silver gilt vinaigrette, of rectangular form, beautifully engine turned on both sides, the hinged cover opens to reveal a gilt interior, with a pierced hinged grille, fully hallmarked to the interior. Blank cartouche and hanging loop. Contains the original sponge.
Measuring 2.5 cm x 1.5 cm and weighs 7.4 grams.
In very good antique condition, hallmarks are good, gilding is a bit faded. Usual signs of wear all commensurate of age and use.
