A superb quality Edwardian Sterling Silver Butt Marker Case hallmarked for London 1904 by maker William Edward Hurcomb.
It has a spring loaded lid with space for four pegs or markers inside.
On a suspension loop so it can be hung nicely from a ladies or gentleman''s pocket watch chain.
It is engraved with a recumbent greyhound / hound / dog to one side and initials the the other.
It is in very good condition, the case opens and snaps shuts very well (mind your fingers ), the hallmarks are clear, it has a gilded interior. There are no pegs, case only. It has been used so shows a few signs of wear (see photos)
Measuring 8cm high x 5.5cm width a weighs a touch below 100 grams.
A beautiful high quality piece of Edwardian silver.
