Description

This delightful Edwardian silver swan pin cushion bears the marks of Adie & Lovekin and is dated Birmingham 1908. The body with detailed plumage rests on an oval silver base. The eyes inset with blue glass stones, a rare and exquisite detail. The original cushion finished in pink velvet.

Hallmarks:

AL&L for Adie & Lovekin.

Birmingham Assay Mark.

Lion Passant.

Date letter "i" for 1908.

Condition:

Good.

Very clear hallmarks.

Cushion in good condition.

Main body in excellent condition.

Top of the swan's head with dent, reflected in the p[rice.

Length: 6cm / 2.2 inches.

Height: 4cm / 1.4 inches.
